Phyllis Taylor

Life Reflections

Phyllis had a beautiful life starting May 04, 1963 to Ruby Taylor and Jessie Griffin.

 Phyllis was a native of Chicago and grew up mostly in the Rosenwald Garden Apartments on 46th Michigan. She attended Harper High School. During her teenage years, she met Terry Boykins and conceived her only child Xavier Taylor on April 26th1981. In Phyllis's early adulthood, she moved to Oakland, California. She started a long successful Bartending career at a well-known nightclub in Oakland called Apt C. Shortly after that, she became employed for the United States Postal Service in Oakland for five years. There is where she met her one and only true love James Hall.

In her last 20 years of employment, she was a dedicated Supervising Officer for Securitas USA until she became ill in August of 2019. During the tenure of her longtime employment Phyllis met many friends that she worked with & Resident members who resided at her location. They became so attached to her because of her loving and exciting spirit, and always helped her through rough times.

In the last 2 months of her life Phyllis moved from Oakland to Las Vegas to be under the care of her baby, her one and Only. All that both of them wanted was to enjoy each other’s presence and love for all of the time that was possible. Her family was her heart and soul no matter how somethings appeared to seam, and went with peace that she had the opportunity to reunite with all of them one last time.

Phyllis leaves to mourn her passing; One Child; Xavier Taylor,        Grandchildren; Chantal, Chanelle, Alianna & Rain.

Siblings:  Earl & Lynda Taylor, Viola Townsell, Sean Taylor, Brian Taylor & Nicola Taylor, and her sister in law that she loved very much Nicole Forehand.
