On Saturday, February 27th 2021, Nicholas “Nick” Anthony Betsakos Jr., loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 78.

Nick was born on January 11, 1943 in Canton, Ohio. He was raised in Detroit, Michigan and made his way to California in the 1960s. Nick met his future wife Clara “Lucy” Luz Pineda, and her two sons Oswaldo and Eswin in Los Angeles. After spending time in California, the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1977. On October 3rd, 1981 Nick and Lucy married. They raised Oswaldo, Eswin and their daughter, Nicole.

Nick had great interests in science, space and the cosmos, often looking to the stars in the night sky. He enjoyed martial arts and human consciousness, studying the balances of mind and body. Nick was known for his patient demeanor, his wise observations, his intelligent conversations, and his compassionate spirit.

Nick was preceded in death by his mother Jean Marie, his sister Linda, his son Eswin, and his wife Lucy. He is survived by his son Oswaldo, his daughter Nicole, his grandchildren Gabriela and Noah, and his sisters Toni Lynn and Sandra.
