Melissa Jayne Agena

When Melissa Jayne Agena left us for heaven, 14 - Marines who left Afghanistan escorted her to the pearly gates.  Her journey began in Chicago, Illinois, on December 1, 1978 her journey ended at Lake Mead, Nevada on August 26, 2021. She left no regrets and lived her life to the fullest in her short 42 years on this earth.

Melissa graduated from UNLV with a BA in Hotel Management. She recently received her license to sell insurance and worked for Sital State Farm Insurance. 

She loved her family fiercely and had a soft spot for animals. Melissa’s passion and loving spirit allowed her to make friends easily, and her friends became like family. 

Left to cherish Melissa’s memory: mother, Robin Agena-Kaiser, stepfather Don Kaiser, brother, Troy Agena, uncle, David Muntean, aunt, Dara Muntean-May; aunt, Jana Muntean-Rawls, many cousins and extended family, lifelong friend Shawna Albeno, her partner and best friend Kevin George, and her fur babies, Annie and Sal.

She will be greeted in heaven by her father, Isagani Agena, grandmother, Doris White, grandfather, George Muntean, and her special fur baby, Buddy. 

A private family tribute at Lake Mead was held on Sunday 8/29/2021

The Celebration of life will be held at the Kaiser home in their backyard because of Covid-19.  Masks are required, please.
