Alice Marie Gentry

In grateful loving memory, Alice Marie Gentry, 80, of Highland passed away on March 12, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. Alice was born in Bangor, Maine to Amy and Lawrence Avery on April 19, 1940. She was the most generous, giving, loving and dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Always giving of her time and endless energy, she was always there for her family and friends, but especially her grandkids. She graduated Fontana High School and attended L.A. Business College. Alice was the definition of a hard worker. She was a long distance operator for AT&T for thirty years. After retiring, she went on to volunteer at the Lighthouse for the Blind in San Bernardino, which turned into a whole second career. Even after that job came to an end, retirement never suited the ever-energetic Alice. She then became a delivery driver at O'Reilly auto parts. Alice is preceded in death by her brother Ernie and sisters Rebel, Judy and Betsy. Alice is survived by Dan Gentry, daughter and son-in-law Valerie and Mark, four grandchildren and their spouses, Danielle and Jesus, Adam, Kayleigh and Rudy and Evelyn and Austin. Also by five great granddaughters, four great grandsons, sisters Sandy, Nancy, Sue and Linda and brother John.
